NB also see https://kostverlorenvaart.blogspot.com/2019/01/more-about-sergeys-fluid-bed-roaster.html

Sergey from Russia wrote us and shared pictures of the little fluid bed roaster that he built himself.
"Roasted in manual mode. The temperature is adjustable on the Leister.  Blower by thyristor. For home would like to assemble a roaster with less noisy blower."
Thank you Sergey for sharing!!

Hello, is it possible to ask Sergey for a list of parts he used to make this? Also if he know about how much electricity it uses?

I emailed to Sergey referring to your comment and will see if he adds more info!

Hello, can I know if there's a certain angle of the funnel to be used for uniform roasting of the coffee beans? Thank you so much!

Hi Vanessa, Sergey might be able to share his views. In our own air roaster, Tije has experimented with different angles and when I was still using my Fracino air roaster, I noticed that whan I held the entire machine at an angle, I could start with a heavier charge of green beans and the airflow would still be able to keep the bean mass rolling around whereas when I kept the machine upight, no 'fountain' of beans would rise from the center. I think the specific angle of the funnel is also a function of the width of the glass chamber. So mostly it's a 'trial and error' effort for any model in development.
